Choice of environment
What is the environment where you intend to place the pots? What is the architectural style? This can define a style for your vases that matches the style of the house.
Is it a sunny and windy facade or balcony? Is it an indoor and shaded environment? Without observing the environment and researching the plants that will live well in it, you will be wrong. Take a piece of paper and write down everything about the chosen environment. Watch it at various times and see how many hours there is really direct sun.
Note that in this yard there are shaded and other sunny areas. You can find, even in a small environment, areas that receive much more sun or wind than others. So look to choose the correct species for each situation. So you can create potted gardens without fear of making mistakes.
