30 ideas for the whole house using pegboard or perforated panel

It began as a simple piece, a hard plate of eucalyptus fibers – I believe that formerly there was only Eucatex perforated, because the name of the manufacturer gave the product its name for a long time – and has always been used extensively for hanging tools in home repair shops.

Today’s name pegboard is also widely used and there is boards and panels of all types, stronger, with numerous colors and perforations of all sizes and you find even finished, already with hooks, niches and such to use in every corner. And suddenly it’s in the living room, in the bedroom, in the kitchen, in the service area, in the office, to hang everything. And even making super cool furniture. I selected 30 ideas for the whole house. Come and see?

Another 2 headboards, one painted and the other, which may not be a perforated panel, but which one can do with one, using thick wool or thread to create the designs. And the idea of the closet with a perforated panel wall and hooks is very good! (photos: bullshit, dcoracao and minhacasaminhacara)

room 1

Another headboard (the line drawing could be more cute, right?), A pegboard behind the bedside table, another to hang the comics and the last to hang the costume jewelry (Photos: abilolando and casaabril)

Everything hanging in the working corner makes it easy to use and organize. Pegboard on it! (photos: abilolando, ateliegaaya and desopilar)

Back to the origins, in the home-based workshop, as a background of the work table and in the corner of gardening (photos: dusty, homedit and ateliegaaya)

I’m sure you were inspired by this post. So get to work. But do not forget: Many of the existing perforated panels has little resistance to withstand strip and put of hooks, shelves or heavy objects and do not support humidity. So choose or reinforce the panel according to your need to avoid accidents and poorly spent money!

Home Office – Whats Beyond the Table?

A reader, the Evelise, wrote:

I’ve been researching home office images and practically all the photos show the bench / table, but what about the other side? I look at mine and think … “Will I put a shelf or a low cabinet? or a sofa and shelves? an armchair and a narrow closet, maybe? “and when looking for photos to inspire me, it was … I did not find ANYTHING!

So, folks, let’s help Evelise (and probably a lot more people!)?

All the options that Evelise wrote may be the correct answer. Everything depends on space and need.

A sofa, cabinets and shelves are great if you have room for that. If you need the office to also work as an extra room a sofa bed is perfect. The shelves and cabinets can be well functional, even narrow. But if the office is in the room?

You can steal a little bit of it for a seat, shelves and narrow niches, maybe a mini-refrigerator.

If you have a specific office environment you can have an armchair to relax for a few moments, a message board or specific painting on a wall.

casa_jardim 6_1

Despite the stairs, here you can see an armchair, a tv, a closet, shelves (you can see they can not be missing, right?) And the cooler.

Here a smaller space but very nice with the sofa and niches

Another idea, now a full room with single bed, drawers, closet and shelves. And depending on the decor, the same environment can be used as extra room, home office and even to meet people!

And in this same situation: Office / extra room.

If it does not fit sofa, a corner to sit with drawers underneath. And if there is space, an extra table is welcome for other equipment and / or quick jobs.

And another office / extra room and in the photo next door, a bookshelf full of class.

And in this room, which is not large, an entire planned space, which uses well the walls and can be used as extra bedroom as well.

And what can not be forgotten: Good lighting! Whether for work at the desk or computer as well as a more pleasant and cozy lighting for the times when the environment is being used as a bedroom, if that is the case.

I hope that Evelise and those who need it most have found inspiration for the decoration of their home offices!

Baby Room Lighting – 4 Tips For You

An important item in your baby’s room is the lighting. Both natural and artificial. It’s important to always remember that this little person was recently in a dark place and did not know the light, right? Here are 4 tips not to miss:

1) Cradle away from the window where the sun hits:

I would say that the crib should always stay away from the window, not only when there is possibility of light in excess, but also due to the current of air. If you’re not good at it, always use curtains to protect your baby.

(In this picture the crib is protected from the window, but the breastfeeding armchair is next to the window, so close the window or use the curtain when you are there with the baby). And it’s good to keep the crib somewhat away from the wall)

2) Use luminaires with milky coating:

These bulbs with transparent glass and carbon filament, super trendy now, no matter how weak, have a light intensity on the filament that is not cool for baby rooms. The ideal is to use luminaires with fabrics – or other coatings – that dim the light, making it more diffuse.

3) Use Decorative Lampsthose of low luminous intensity:

Ceiling spot, led strip, light bead are great when the light intensity is low. The luminous colored ribbons and cords attract the attention of the baby and, being weak, even calm them.

Delicate and light strands of light, such as these from Cormilu are great for decorative lighting of baby rooms and you can choose colors to match the decor of the room.

See the difference in the delicacy of the light cord – even white – compared to the spot on the ceiling – If there is spot in this position it should have its intensity decreased when the baby is being cared for. The ideal is a lamp with milky light.

4) Use dimmers to control brightness:

To create different lighting levels with the same luminaire, use the dimmers and create this cozy sensation of darkness:

Dimmerized, diffused, indirect, warm and cozy lighting for the baby’s dream. Nothing like this, does it? <3

I want to plant a tree – but how to choose?

posicao arvores

Today I saw an image on the internet that I did not understand anything, but anyway, the “citizen” stopped next to a tree sapling on a sidewalk and simply destroyed it !!!!!

About Me

A tree-lined street is a boon in this heat, is not it? (Photo: flower pods: flowering trees)

As I was already thinking of writing about planting trees, which is a very common question in groups on facebook, I motivated … Even more because at this time of year the heat reminds us of them daily, does not it?

Landscaping project Alex Hanazaki Photo Pedro Abude Editora Globo tree-garden-and-garden-and-pool-hall-cj582365

A well-planted and pruned jaboticaba tree, and massifs of agapanthus and irises (Design by the landscaper Alex Hanazaki Foto Pedro Abude – Editora Globo)

I have noticed some “wrong requests” such as:

I want a fast-growing tree! I want a tree that blooms all year long!

I want a tree that does not make dirt! I want a fruit on the sidewalk! I want lots of fruit!

I want, I want, I want …

“I was able to put many glass cloths, because the environments are protected from sunlight by the trees that are still the landscape of the residents.” (Architect Bel Lobo. Photo: revistacasaejardim)

In order for your tree to succeed and you are happy, what you should know (so ask) is:

Which trees are native to the region where I live? Why plant native species?

Which trees are suitable for the sidewalk? What are the rules for planting the City Hall of my city?

jardineironet 2984412281_25e033b7bb_o

With these “powerful” roots this tree is not suitable for the sidewalk, do you agree?

How to plant a tree? How to care for a tree?

Which trees can be planted near my house? How will the tree influence the comfort of my home?

position trees

Example of a concern we should have about the positioning of trees in relation to the house and the Sun (Drawing from Manual

As for the “wrong requests”, some tips:

It is important to note that a fast growing tree usually has weak wood (wood), that is, it can break easily causing accidents.

Badly planted or cared for trees can cause serious accidents … (photo: diarioonline)

Floríferas on the sidewalk, although beautiful, can be a problem, as they can cause slipping and therefore accidents due to falling of passers-by, so the species needs to be well chosen, the same is true of fruit trees.

Trees do not make dirt – they fulfill their cycles! Some of them naturally lose many or all of their leaves in one period, some not.

Before you choose, buy and plant your tree, search for Guide to Planting Your City (the one of many cities you find in google). Do the right thing from the beginning. Nothing to ask about “Zé das Cabras” because the consequences can be very bad, from financial damage to serious accident.

See below the link for some general guides and others for specific cities. Follow the rules for planting trees on sidewalks and recommendations for planting trees in a safe way on your land.

But why plant trees? Do you know all the benefits of having trees nearby? See some:

They can serve as barriers against wind, noise and excessive natural or artificial light (of mirrored buildings, for example)

Decrease pollution because they sequester CO2 through photosynthesis, helping to combat global warming. and retain in their leaves the particles suspended in the air, which are frequent in cities with high vehicular traffic, preventing them from reaching the airways. Then they are carried away by the rain.

There are many tips to follow to safely plant trees on sidewalks (photo: arqconcursos)

Control air temperature and humidity

Intercept rainwater, protecting the soil from erosion

Space for transients, tree space, permeable soil (photo: deiasparadecoracao)

Improve the permeability of soil with its roots, helping to avoid flooding.

They provide shade, decreasing the local temperature.

Attract birds

Green corridor creator (connection between elements of fauna, harbor insects, lichens, birds, enriching the
ecosystem and increasing its biodiversity.

Produce psychological well-being, Improving the quality of life

Irrigate the atmosphere

This is just a summary of the benefits.

Ah! I also wanted to remember that tree is not pole. Have you seen trees cemented on the sidewalks? Absurd, is not it? Unfortunately it is very common. Trees need permeable area to grow and stay healthy.

I will not quote tree suggestions here because the readers are in different regions of the country and each region has its peculiarity.

Then see the Guide to Planting Your City. If you have any questions afterwards, please submit your question. It will be a pleasure to answer your questions.
